Welcome to Haute Ballerina Couture!
I am so excited you’re here!
I’m Tina, a ballerina in love with fashion, and a fashionista in love with ballet.
I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I love sharing with you all the inspiration I get from art, culture, and fashion; where we began, where we are now, and where we are headed. I believe so much in live theatre, and the inspiration you can take away with you after watching a ballet performance. From a ballerina’s exquisite line, male athleticism, gorgeous costumes, sets, live orchestra, and beautiful choreography that can look as natural as breathing, and equally take your breath away.
I love the feeling of being on stage, whether in a tutu and pointe shoes, or especially while portraying a character and becoming someone/something else, often greater than myself. It is then that time seems to stand still and quiet, and I am captivated by pure spirit. What I love most is knowing that the audience is just as excited to come along with me!
The “look” of a ballerina is often been emulated in the world of fashion. Grace, beauty, line, and detail are of utmost importance. From the earliest days in French court, where ballet was born, fashion came right along with it, and hasn’t stopped since.
My blog is designed to give you an inside look into the life of a ballerina, and provide you with some of the great history and the modern presence of ballet and fashion ~ from tutus and tiaras to haute couture, runway fashion, and ballet inspired images that will provide you with all the tips and tricks you need to create your own interpretation of a ballerina inside, or outside of the dance studio in your own individual style.
Feel free to comment on posts, and join me on my facebook page, and twitter for updates!
And don’t forget to pointe your toes…and smile
Love, Tina
